The three most common methods of plywood making
Release Time:2020-04-16 12:15:27      The number of clicks:1025

The methods of plywood production are generally divided into three kinds: wet - heat method, dry - cold method and dry - heat method. Dry and wet refers to the adhesive pressure when the veneer is dry veneer or wet veneer. Cold and hot refers to the hot press or cold press adhesive.

The disadvantage of wet heat production is: because the veneer moisture content is high, so the hot pressing time is long, the productivity is low, after the hot pressing even to the plywood dry treatment. Because it is produced by wet heat method, the internal stress is large, easy to warp and deformation, and the bonding strength is low.

The disadvantage of dry - cooling production is that the plywood production cycle is long because of the long pressure time. More suitable for the production of small enterprises.

Dry heat production: it is the use of rotary cut veneer after drying, so that the veneer moisture content in the range of 8-12% glue group billet, in the hot press into the glue. The production characteristics of this method are: due to high temperature gluing, so the time is short, the output is large, and the gluing strength is high, the product quality is good. The surface of the board is smooth and flat, not easy to deform. Suitable for all kinds of adhesive production.

Because this method overcomes the shortcomings of wet - heat method and dry - cold method. Production is more flexible, large, medium, small enterprises can be produced, the production of products more suitable for the needs of the market, therefore, at present domestic and foreign enterprises production of plywood commonly used dry heat method production.
